Week 1 - Thursday Night - Cabin 3 Slumber-Party?!

[ We're all sick, we're all afraid. The last part is debatable. ]

((Cabinmate mingle for the pre-murder night. Since we're all in the same cabin, threadjacking and just general messy posting is encouraged unless a different pref is stated in a thread header.

I put two headers, one for pre-10pm sickness misery and one for 10pm when we all miracle heal, because I think it'd be difficult to decide 'now is the time' unanimously in ongoing threads between 8 people.))

[Chuuta started the week off queasy and nervous, struggling to sleep and withdrawing in on himself to the point where Drew was starting to worry. Even brief moments of trying to make things better didn't work.

And that was before the illness actually hit.

He needs water. He can't get enough water, no matter how much he drinks. He coughs up dust, actual dust, a weird moss-green powder that coats the inside of his mouth and nose and stains his hands and face. Or, at first it was a stain, but now the discoloration is spreading, his extremities turning dry and green and cracking and leaving smudges of green powder anywhere he touches.

He's staying in a corner, next to the radio, on the ground and against the wall, trying to listen for anything important.]

[ OKAY GREEN POWDER STUFF??? ]

What the hell? Were you trying to eat green tea powder?

[ What is that stuff? Already going to poke at it with his fingers cause that seems smart. ]

Don-- [Chuuta's attempt at trying to stop Nine from poking at the... stuff just sets off another desperate coughing fit. There's some more dust, if you were wondering where it was coming from.]

[ Why are you leaking green powder?


Wiping his finger on Chuuta just in case he touched that. ]

Oh, yuck. Is that normal? [ Is this a side effect of the alien passenger??? ]

[He shakes his head. It's really not normal, and he and Drew are both pretty sure that they've got some kind of alien sickness.

D'you... 've water?

[ He's about to poke at Chuuta too see if more stuff will come out, but the request has him pausing. ]

Yeah, I think so.

[ Moving over to grab his water bottle. Taking the cap off and handing it over. ]

Yo, here.

[ Hopefully he takes it because Nine is going to drop down to a crouch as he rubs his forehead. He's feeling dizzy and feverish from whatever they were given. ]

[He grabs it, and chugs the entire thing without stopping to breathe.

But a water bottle doesn't help when he's dealing with a disease that's turning his body into dust.]

[ Whoa! ]

Hey, don't forget to breathe. [ He says once the room isn't spinning. He doesn't know what to do when someone is choking. ]

Don't think choking will count.

[He'll breathe once he's done. Sort of. More like, "he'll start coughing a lot", but close enough.]

[ He's not sure if he's coughing cause weird green gunk or if he's coughing cause he's choking. So he's going to give him a hard pat on the back. Is that helping? ]

And the patting doesn't really help, other than... stirring up a little cloud of green dust that's just puffing off of Chuuta's entire body. Gross.]

That's stuff is every where, yo. You're going to need a shower after this. And maybe burn all of this...

[ All the bedding. Maybe the clothes. That's nasty. ]

Yeah. [Burning all of this makes sense. But... there might not be an after.]

Do you have more water? [That's first. He has to get more water first.]

[ He will totally help with that.

Nine will just gank someone else's water at this point to hand over because it's closer. ]

Here. Take it slower so it'll actually last.

[He needs to drink this more slowly but he can't. He really really can't. He tries to slow down but he's so desperately thirsty that he absolutely can't.

He doesn't choke on it this time, but it doesn't help, he still needs more water. There's green dust everywhere, falling off his skin and hair, and the weird green discoloration just keeps spreading.]

Maybe we should get you to the bathroom.

[ Just stick him under a constant stream of water. ]

[There's water there, Chuuta.]

[Drew feels it too, the weird drying empty feeling spreading through Chuuta's body, the sense that something is very wrong.]

Y-yeah. [But he has to move. Moving is going to take more strength than he thinks he has right now.]

[ Snagging a sheet off one of the empty bunks and then dropping it on him. ]

Come on. I'll get you over there, yo.

[ Wrap up first so not to get the stuff EVERY WHERE ]

[Chuuta grabs the blanket.

Or, he tries to, but his hands aren't responding like they should, movements jerky and slow. The green color is just spreading, his skin blistering up and cracking as he reaches out and

oh. That's where the dust was coming from. It's his body breaking down, it's his fingers crumbling into green powder as he tries to grab the blanket.]

[Chuuta doesn't scream, just whimpers and stares at his hand as it starts to disintegrate in front of him.]

[ OKAY that sure did just happen!

Nine has to stop himself from freaking out. This is something new. He hasn't seen people turn into dust while they are alive. And not someone that's part of his squad. ]

Okay, okay. I can get more water, yo.

[ And maybe a dustpan to keep all of him together. ]

Just don't move, alright?

[It's just spreading. It's spreading up his arms, he can feel it up his legs, it's cracking the skin around his lips and nose and coating his eyelashes. He takes a breath to scream but his lungs fill with dust.]

[Chuuta?]

[No.]

[Chuuta? Drew's... Drew isn't leaving.]

[No!]

[At least it's like... 9:57 right now]

[ Shit shit shit. He actually runs out of the cabin to fill up the bottles with water from the bathroom. It takes him a few minutes before he's running back in. HERE WATER

He uncaps it and offers it to him. ]

Don't worry about grabbing it, yo. Just open up your mouth.

[Too late. Chuuta can't even breathe anymore, and Nine gets nothing but a wide-eyed panicking stare in response to his offer and then---


well, then it hits 10:00 and the discoloration just vanishes and Chuuta sucks in a huge, desperate gasp of air. BOY ITS A GOOD THING PASTOR DAN DIED JUST THEN HUH]

[ He drops the water when he sees that it's too late, and that he might fall to pieces...

and then it happens. He no longer feels warm and sluggish and he can see that the kid is getting normal again. Nine drops down to his knees, already forgetting how to stand for a moment after of that shit. ]

The hell... you were giving me a heart attack, yo!

[ Shit. Scrubbing at the top of his head with his hand as he tries to calm down. ]
