Week 1 - Thursday Night - Cabin 3 Slumber-Party?!

[ We're all sick, we're all afraid. The last part is debatable. ]

((Cabinmate mingle for the pre-murder night. Since we're all in the same cabin, threadjacking and just general messy posting is encouraged unless a different pref is stated in a thread header.

I put two headers, one for pre-10pm sickness misery and one for 10pm when we all miracle heal, because I think it'd be difficult to decide 'now is the time' unanimously in ongoing threads between 8 people.))

[He needs to drink this more slowly but he can't. He really really can't. He tries to slow down but he's so desperately thirsty that he absolutely can't.

He doesn't choke on it this time, but it doesn't help, he still needs more water. There's green dust everywhere, falling off his skin and hair, and the weird green discoloration just keeps spreading.]

[Drew feels it too, the weird drying empty feeling spreading through Chuuta's body, the sense that something is very wrong.]

[Chuuta doesn't scream, just whimpers and stares at his hand as it starts to disintegrate in front of him.]

Nine has to stop himself from freaking out. This is something new. He hasn't seen people turn into dust while they are alive. And not someone that's part of his squad. ]

[It's just spreading. It's spreading up his arms, he can feel it up his legs, it's cracking the skin around his lips and nose and coating his eyelashes. He takes a breath to scream but his lungs fill with dust.]

[Chuuta? Drew's... Drew isn't leaving.]

[At least it's like... 9:57 right now]

[ Shit shit shit. He actually runs out of the cabin to fill up the bottles with water from the bathroom. It takes him a few minutes before he's running back in. HERE WATER

He uncaps it and offers it to him. ]

Don't worry about grabbing it, yo. Just open up your mouth.

[Too late. Chuuta can't even breathe anymore, and Nine gets nothing but a wide-eyed panicking stare in response to his offer and then---


well, then it hits 10:00 and the discoloration just vanishes and Chuuta sucks in a huge, desperate gasp of air. BOY ITS A GOOD THING PASTOR DAN DIED JUST THEN HUH]

[ He drops the water when he sees that it's too late, and that he might fall to pieces...

and then it happens. He no longer feels warm and sluggish and he can see that the kid is getting normal again. Nine drops down to his knees, already forgetting how to stand for a moment after of that shit. ]

The hell... you were giving me a heart attack, yo!

[ Shit. Scrubbing at the top of his head with his hand as he tries to calm down. ]

[He's working on breathing right now, but he's...]

[ His heart is still pounding and he leans over to just give him a pinch in the arm. ]

Feel that, yo?

[ Nine is grabbing on to the edge of the bed cause shit his legs still feel like jelly. ]

Y-yeah. [Chuuta says, rubbing at his arm with his... healed... hand. He feels like he's going to be sick, not because he is sick anymore, but because of the shock of what just happened.

Sorry, Nine, Chuuta's just going to curl in on himself for a couple moments. He's not crying, but he is shaking and gasping for air.]

[ Nine picks up the water bottle and move to sit on the edge of his bed. Putting the bottle against Chuuta so he knows it's there. Leaning back with hands behind him. He'll wait there. ]

[Eventually, Chuuta uncurls and takes that water bottle. He isn't as thirsty as he was before, he doesn't think he'll ever be that thirsty again, but he still feels... weird.

Drinking water helps, and Drew knocking his fin up against Chuuta's chin helps a little too. Enough that Chuuta can look over at Nine.]

Are... are you okay?

[ Looking back and he gives a nod. ]

Back to one-hundred percent, yo.

[ So he's good. ]

That scared me though. Thought you were going to... [ You know. ]

... me too. [He's been that close to death before, but this time... this time Drew was still there with him, there was no change in their symbiosis, no program activated that would send the Monitalien to another host. Was it because everyone in here was so sick?]

I should have gone outside. There wasn't anyone in here for Drew to transfer to.

[ He's turning to look at them. ]

Worry about a contingency plan tomorrow, yo.

[He has to worry about this today, right now, because he hasn't ever had to worry about it before, and there's suddenly the very real potential that if he dies here, there won't be anyone for Drew to go to.]

[ What could and might happen seem like something Nine has never worried about. Mother said that's wasn't something they would need to worry about...
