Week 1: Boa finds Eddie's sickly nature weird and unrelatable, yet it turns out he can talk to the other boy quite well. He thinks Eddie is remarkably naive overall. If he was more preachy about this, Boa might dislike him, but as is he just feels a weird sense of dread at the strong suspicion that Eddie isn't going to make it. Week 2: Now that Eddie and Richie remember their fight against IT, Boa has a harder time discrediting their points of view. Though he still thinks of Eddie as over-all weak, his respect has risen. He now actively hopes that Eddie is not going to die. Spending time with the other boy is, against all odds, kind of fun. Week 3: Eddie is Boa's friend and the events with the lake kitten this week proved very conclusively how far Boa is willing to go to save him. Having friends is a strange experience for Boa still, but Eddie has a way of making it easy to be comforted by it. Week 4: Eddie is growing stronger and Boa is watching is with enthusiasm. He's getting more confident that his friend can survive and he also knows that he'll do anything to ensure that holds true. Week 5: Eddie wanted to believe in Boa until the end and that hurts Boa badly. Knowing he betrayed what Eddie thought of him is one thing, but seeing Eddie cling onto it so desperately truly broke him. Eddie was a comforting presence and being with him gave Boa a taste of true happiness and friendship. Boa knows he will miss it forever and ever and ever. In the depth of his heart he hopes Eddie doesn't hate him quite as badly as Richie does, but he's not sure if that is realistic. Boa would risk everything he still has as a soul to make sure Eddie survives camp.
